Rise and Shine Music Therapy is located in Redondo Beach, California. Dedicated to helping others find, embrace, and share the light within. Music is the medium used in our therapy services to promote self-growth, positive relationships, and inner peace. In addition, our music lessons emphasize having fun and working hard as you learn the instrument of your choice.
Meet Susannah Nevarez, MT-BC
Susannah Nevarez is a board-certified music therapist and the owner of Rise and Shine Music Therapy. Susannah graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Music Therapy degree from Pacific University in Oregon. After finishing her studies, she completed a 6-month internship at Dynamic Music Therapy in Las Vegas, Nevada. During that time, she found a love for working with kids with Autism, Down Syndrome, and other disabilities.
When Susannah returned home to Southern California, she saw a need for more music therapy services in the South Bay. Thus began Rise and Shine Music Therapy!

Susannah is a dedicated music therapist, who tailors her sessions to meet the needs of each individual present. She loves to watch her clients progress and develop self-confidence. The name Rise and Shine is a reminder that we all have great potential for growth each and every day. Susannah strives to create a calm, uplifting environment where everyone is free to shine!
Since a young age, Susannah has been a musician. She loves playing the piano, guitar, and ukulele, as well as singing and writing songs. Whether you are interested in music lessons or music therapy, Susannah will bring a talented skill-set and a patient, encouraging approach to your home or facility.
